The Pakistan Hajj Mission has reported the passing of five pilgrims due to natural causes during this year’s Hajj pilgrimage. The spokesperson shared the details of the deceased, expressing deep sorrow over their demise.
In Madinah, three pilgrims—Khawaja Mehmood from Chakwal, Muhammad Ihsan from Jamshoro, and Kishwar Sultan from Faisalabad—passed away. Their funeral prayers were offered at Masjid al-Nabawi ﷺ, one of Islam’s holiest sites, and they were laid to rest in the revered Jannat al-Baqi cemetery, where many companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are buried.
In Makkah, two female pilgrims—Gul Jan from Jhelum and Irshad Begum from Gujranwala—also passed away. They were buried in the Sharaya cemetery, following Islamic rites. The Pakistan Hajj Mission provided full assistance to the families of the deceased, ensuring all necessary arrangements were made in accordance with Saudi regulations.
The spokesperson extended condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls, asking Allah to grant them the highest place in Jannah. The mission also reassured other pilgrims of their commitment to providing medical and logistical support throughout the Hajj journey.
Hajj is a physically demanding pilgrimage, and elderly or ailing pilgrims are particularly vulnerable to health complications. Pakistani authorities have advised pilgrims to follow health guidelines, stay hydrated, and seek medical help if needed. The government continues to monitor the well-being of all Pakistani pilgrims to ensure a safe and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience.
May the deceased rest in eternal peace, and may their families find patience and solace during this difficult time. Ameen.
