Washington, D.C. – U.S. President Donald Trump will host a special lunch today for Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, at the White House. The event will take place in the Cabinet Room, where the two leaders will also hold an important meeting.
Warm Welcome from Pakistani Community
Before the luncheon, Pakistani expatriates in Washington gave a grand welcome to Field Marshal Munir. They praised the bravery and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army, especially in recent military operations.
Field Marshal Munir Praises Overseas Pakistanis
During his speech, the Army Chief called overseas Pakistanis the “true ambassadors” of the country. He thanked them for:
- Sending remittances (money back home)
- Making investments in Pakistan
- Achieving success in different fields abroad
He said the Pakistani diaspora is key to the nation’s progress and promised stronger cooperation between the government and expats for a prosperous Pakistan.
The community members also shared their ideas and pledged support for a safer and stronger Pakistan.
